Prompt steps have been taken to implement the Anglo-Irish agreements, both in the London and Dublin Parliaments.

Mr. Malcolm MacDonald has introduced a Bill to the House of Commons "to give effect to the agreements regarding the relations of the United Kingdom and Eire." Mr. Eamon De Valera introduced a similar measure in the Dail, and declared that the House must accept or] reject the agreements as a whole. He especially dwelt on the return of ports at present in the hands of the British Navy, and said they were handed over unconditionally. The agreement finally establishes Irish sovereignty in 26 counties and the territorial seas.
