In the basement of the Yorkshire Penny Bank in Cheapside, London, a completely equipped gas-proof sheller for the use of the staff in case of air ralds has been constructed. The plant which is seen above, supplies air which is purified before entering the chamber. Two persons can pedal the air filtration plant in the shelter.
