A pastel coloured tweed sult has a velveteen front and back to the coat. Bometimes a fur blouse made from soft pelts is introduced to givo warmth to a costume really intended for later on in the year,

Surprising as it may seem, these blouses are not nearly so bulky as you would bellove, for only closely shorn furs are employed. Jackato are cut square and loose-fitting so that they do not cling to the figure.

Another important point is that "Anything Goes" in cost lines. Thoy vary from the briefest of zouavo jackets and boleros to three- quarter length styles. Our artist has sketched you three examples of amart contrast fashions seen in Paris.

In the centre is the high corselet dress which you have already heard about. This is carried out in velvet with a Paisley-patterned velvet top, and the bolero of nutria is mounted on strips of the Paisley velvet.

Designers are uncertain as to where to put the waist, and this promises to be an open question during the coming season.

There is a general tendency towards lowering it, and it takes on many forms of expression. The most general is shown on the third sketch on the right.
