Col, Irwin, who is responsible for defences, said the Corinthians, the co-ordiontion of Hongkong's in spite of what they had heard before coming here, would have noticed how tranquil the Colony was. He hoped, therefore, that when they returned to England, they would tell their

SURPRISED AT REQUEST On October 10, plaintiff wrote a letter saying that he wanted: $150 is his allowance and that he entitled to a remuneration at the end bt the campaign. He was surprised at this as no question of remuner- ation had been mentioned before, and accordingly wrote a reply, pointing this out.

Referring to the poster, Mr. Chen said that he had never given per- mission to plaintiff to have it printed. Plainult brought a few coples of the poster to him, saying permission had been obtained from the S.C.A. to have them posied. He was surprised at this as the poster depleted a war scene, and accordingly made enquir- ics, as a result of which he learned that no such permission had been given. Later, he informed the Com- mittee of this, and it was decided to terminato plaintiff's services,
