A SPECIAL FHOTOGRAPH of the historic veil worn by Miss Farida Zulfcar on the occasion of her marriage to King Farouk of Egypt. The vell, of exquisite needle-point workmanship, took several years to make. It came from Brussels and was one of three brought to Egypt by the Empress Eugenie, when she opened the Suez Canal in 1009, as presents for the three daughters of the Khedivo Iamail. Two of the vells returned in due course to Europe, but the third remained in Egypt, although after it was sold on the death of Princess Fatimo, an aunt of King Farouk, it was lost sight of. Its existence, however, recently came to the knowledge of the Royal family, who acquired it, and it was so much admired by Misa Zulficar that it was decided to give it to her for her wedding.

GIANT SEAPLANE FOR SOVIETS-Here is the giant clipper ship built for Soviet Russia by the Glehn L. Martin Company of Baltimore. The huge flying boat, reating on Dark Hend Creek after its faunching, has a wing spread of 157 feet and is powered by four motors. It can accommodate 45 day passengers, with sleeping quarter for 26. Its cruising speed is 140 to 170 miles an hour for 5,000 miles, carrying a pay load of 7,500 pounds of passengers, freight and mail.
