A SPECIAL PHOTOGRAPII of the historic vell worn by Miss Farida Zulficar on the occasion of her marriage to King Farouk of Egypt. The vell, of exquisite needle-point workmanship, took several years to make. It came from Brussels and was one of three brought to Egypt by the Empress Eugenie, when she opened the Suez Canal in 1889, presents for the three daughters of the Khedive Ismail. Two of the vella returned in due course to Europe, but the third remained In Egypt, although after it was sold on the death of Princess Fatima, an aunt of King Farouk, it was lost sight of. Its existence, however, recently came to the knowledge of the Royal family, who acquired it, and it was so much admired by Miss Zulficar that it was decided to give it to her for her wedding,

GIANT SEAPLANE FOR SOVIETS-Hero is the giant clipper ship built for. Soviet Russin by the Glenn L. Martin Company of Baltimore. The huge flying boat, resting on Dark Head Creek after its launching, has a wing spread of 157 feet and is powered by four motors. It enn accommodate 40 day passengers, with sleeping quarters for 20. Ita cruising speed is 140 to 170 miles an hour for 6,000 miles, carrying a pay load of 7,500 pounds of passengers, freight and mail.
