U.S. Government May Operate Merchant Fleet

CAR OVERTURNS, DRIVER UNHURT

While driving up Garden Rond at 1.30 a.m. to-day, a car driven by Mr H. H. Beddow of King's College turned over on its side after collid- with a tree but the driver happily ing escaped ali but minor bruises. It appears that Mr. Beddow was tem- porarily blinded by the lights of down-coming car and turned too far on his own side of the road, striking one of the trees on the footpath.
