A fast and exciting hockey game was witnessed between a team chosen from the Mamak Tournament players and one from the United Hockey players yesterday at the Club ground which resulted in a win for the latter by two goala to one.

Singapore, Dec. 31,. Perfect timing, excellent judgment and all the grace of a beautifully developed body combined to make Miss Murian Mansfield's diving ex- hibition, at the Singapore Swimming the best Club yesterday, perhaps ever seen in Singapore.

Nearly 2,000 people warmly ap plauded a series of 14 dives per- formed by the American Olympic star off the three-metre springboard and the Ave-metre platform.

Stymie Rule To Be Given A Trial

New York, Jan. 8. The United States Golf Association has modified the stymie rule, as a trial, throughout 1938.

With Baron von Cramm beating Donald Budge, Germany won the triangular tournament with Australia and the United States with 10 sets, 85 games.
