Tsingtao, Jan. 9. Theodore Antoschowitz, the Ger- man who holds the post of Chiet Inspector of the Taington Police, has resigned as a protest against the selion of Chinese police in selling recovered loot in order to pay their own salaries, which are in arrears.

The panda looks like a bear in many ways. It is black and white with long fur, and its face resembles what a stone-age bear might have looked like, with practically no snout and a fat and unintelligent expres- sion. It is related distantly to the bear family.
