JAPANESE STRIKE HEAVILY AGAINST SHANTUNG FORCES

Invaders Consolidating For Decisive Action

Chenchow, Jan. 7.

After repulsing the Japanese troops, Chinese mobile units recovered the walled city of Feihsiang on the right flank of the Peiping-Hankow Railway in south Hopei, a few days ago, a report just received here states.

Large quantities of Japanese arms and ammunition were seized by the Chinese forces, which are now pushing westward to Hantan on the railway.

Another report states that fighting is proceeding around Tamingfu in south Hopei between Chinese guerilla troop and Japanese forces.-Central News,
