The Hongkong, Football Associa- tion has arranged an nitractive pro- gramme for the Chellimus, and New Year Holidays. On Christmas Day the Association will be opposed to the Hongkong Chinese Amateur Ath- letic Federation, while on December

27, England, will meet Portugal in tire semi-Anal round of the Sunday Heral Charity Cup. On January 2 un exhibition match will be staged between the British Isles and a Hongkong team.

The following have been chosen to represent the Hongkong Football As- sociation against the Hongkong Chin- ese Amateur Athlette Federation on Christmas day on the Curoline Hill ground at 3.30 p.m.:

More golf clubs are abolishing the long-established custam by which a player holing out in one siroke is expected to entertain fellow-mem- bers.

Clubs in the London district who have adopted a now unwritten rule that the successful player should himself be the guest of the day In- clude:

Hendon and Mour Park, each with about 1,000 members;

Wildernesse, Sevenoaks, 700 mem- bera;

Camberley Heath, Surrey, and Hartsbourne Manor, Bushey, Herts, coth with 500 members.

At there clubs the golfer holing in one is permitted to have lunch, fea and a reasonable number of drinka without cliarge.
