Prune Cake Tus cake, something like a fruit

cake in texture, has a lovely

hlavou and is moist enough to keep well.

Cream 1⁄2 cups of shortening and Good Cooking

blend in 1 cup of sugar. Stir in 1 Mix cup of choppert cooked prunes. and sift thoroughly the following tiny: ingredients:-2 cups of cake Hour, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, 4 teaspoon of salt, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, 14 teaspoon of cloves, and to teaspoon of nutmeg.

Add the dry ingredients to first mixture alternating with 2% cups of intik. Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla and beat misture for two minutes. Pour into a shallow cake tin which has been well greased, and bake in a moderately slow oven (325 degrees) for about 14 hotir.
