Mr. J. Remedios, of Chung Lok Chinese B Gold Bands, Street, Kowloon, was the complai nant in on musault ene heard by Mr. K. Keen at the Kowloon Magistracy this morning. He alleged that a woman named lo Lal, 34, him on the head with a hammer.

Sergeant Groves told Mr. K. Keen that Mr. Remedies was the principal tenant in the house in wh

which defen- dant and her husband lived.

During the course of an priment which arose when Mr. Remedios attempled to collect money from defendant's husband, the woman struck him on the head with a hammer.

Giving evilence Mr. Remedios sald that defendant struck him from be- hind.

Defendant wald that Mr. Remedios forced her onto the bed in her cubicle and pressed her nose with the knuc- kles of both hands. She called for help and when Mr. Remedios

ran out of the room she elaned after him and knocked him on the head with a clog. The hammer produced court was not hera.

Mr. Remedios said that the ham- mer on view was not the one that hind been used to strike him, he had brought it along to show the size of the one that had been used on him.

As defendant desired to call wit- nesses Mr. Keen adjourned the case for 24 hours to enable her to do so,
