NEW HOMES FOR OLD
Seeking to improve housing con- dllions by providing cottages with moue. sani- iation, kitchens and bathrooms, Penzance Council has scheduled some of Newlyn's oldest bouses for demolition. Bound to their clean little cottages by sentimental associations of more than a cen- tury, the Cornish fisherfolk are loath to leave for more up-to-date accommodation, and efforts are being made to preserve the homes.
