Rifle Shooting
Favourablo Conditions
On Range
The usual mid-week spoon and practice shoot took place yesterday on the Army Ranges and was at- tended by nearly 50 competitors The number would have been greater had many naval members been able to attend, but this loss was counter-balanced by the appearance of many new members from the Middlesex Regiment.
Cool weather, clear, atmosphere, custodian turned goal-scorer, steady light, and absence of wind
conduced to good scoring,
Individual full membership, doubts less due to the grant of week-end shooting, has rapidly grown and it is confidently expected that by the end of the month, it will have passed the 500 mark.
NOTES OF CURRENT INTEREST

B. Hamsoh, who turned out for
ago, has made a welcome return o the gumc. He now plays for-the Nomads and was seen in action last Sunday against the Argonauta.
'ADY members of the YM.C.A.
will regret to hear that Miss J, Weller intends giving up the game this season. I should like to see her change her mind and stick to the game. The "y" Ladies need hee services badly; she has always shown her worth between the sticks.

ERIC MacNider has signifled his
intentions of taking an active part in hockey this winter. Many will remember the days when Eric turned out for St. Andrew's and the C.B.A, nt right half-back. He may be seen in thut position for the Y.M.C.A. in future.
G. E. Clarke, the popular Mamak
Hockey Tournament Secretary and Radio right back, has given up the game. He is not quite A at the present moment and hopes to con- centrate morgon Cricket,
J. S. Grewal, the former Radio
right buck, has returned after a spell
of eight months' leave in India. He
Is not showing anything like his true form of two seasons ago and cer- tainly needs ㄉ great deal more practice.
The miniature rito shooting sec- tion is about to stort under the secre- taryship of Mr. C. Watson, of the Dockyard Rife Club, a well-known shot on the open range.
