Washington, Oct, 20. Opening the new building of the Federal Reserve Board to-day, Pre- sident F. D. Roosevelt urged that the Government must co-ordiaule credit with other machinery to achieve and maintain chduring prosperity free
from disastrous extremes of booms and depressions.

This goal could not be atlained by the Federal Reserve system alone, or without the proper functioning monetary and credit machinery.

The first meeting of the Colonial Empire Marketing Board, the forma tion of which was announced by Mr. W. Ormsby Gore, Secretary of State for the Colonies, on May 6, was held in the Coloriial Office to-dny.
Mr. Ormsby Gore in his speech said that markels for Colonial pro- duce must be studied and additional felt outlets found. Therefore he sure the Board would not feel it In- cumbent upon it to try to import Instructions to the tea and rubber companies, for instance, on the mar keis they thought they should And.
