THE HONGKONG TELEGRAPH. FRIDAY, AUGUST 27, 1937.
PICTURE STUDIES OF REFUGEES AT C. B. S.
Our staff photographer caught these interesting cainèra studies at the Central British School this week, where a number of Shanghai refugees are quartered. Above is a quartette of theerful boys set- ting out for a walk...Top right “Mother's Little Help" assists in hanging out the laundary. Below
shows how the school gymnasium has been converted into sleeping quarters, with a kiddy taking his afternoon nap, oblivious to the camera. Bottom right a refuger, assisted by a Chinese amah, surts out the clothes which need washing.
