SEVENTH ANNUAL
Amateur Photographic Competition
JUNE AUGUST, 1937.
Cotton: The rumours that the Pre- Farm Lonn. sident agrees to conditional on the passage of farm legislation at next session of Con- gress, are very vague, but they have a steadying influence. Buying by the Trade and
Pre-Bureau repurt evening-up by shorts constituted the chief purchases to-day. Crop reports An average of the were favourable. estimates of six leading crop authorit- les shows the crop as at 15,331,000 bales.
Wheat; The crest of the move- ment in Winter wheat is considered visible to have been passed, but a
increase in supplies will probably continue. Russian offerings at firm prices are reported not to have been inken due to the quality of the wheat. Considerable planting in re- ported to have been delayed by the trought in the Argentine.
the
Corn: We expect that
ad- vances in new crops will meet with selling of old. The market is very firm and spots are scarce and firmly
held.
Rubber: The turn-over is very small. Treders are inclined to await the consumption trend in view the large potential receipts.
of
Sugar: The market is quic and steady. Business to-day mostly con- sisted of September switching.
