Berlin, July 12.
Submarine and air bases and a chain of forts just com- pleted have made Germany's 500 miles of North-west coast-line invincible.
These fortifications, installed at lightning speed in the past year, run from Emden to the Danish frontier : and include Heligoland.
From Borkum and Nordeney up to the larger islands of Syldt | and Fosby the roar of giant · seaplanes can be heard as defence exercises are practised.
