COSTS ARE LOW

Work on the Lepanto Mill is being rushed of top speed and Nielson Engineers estimate that it will be turning over by the 15th of August,

Three Krupp, 420 HP diesels have been installed, and trial runs have shown them to operate most batia- factorily. They will be placed in continuous operation on or about the first of August. This plant will be one of the most modern and effeient diesel power units in the Islands.

A machine shop, capable of making major repairs in the mill or power house has recently been compleled. This shop will enable the M to operate at top efficiency, for all re- para can be made on the Бров obylating costly shut downs.

MINING LOSTS LOW

M muchinery recently Installed consists of 2-No. 80 Marey ball mills, two Denver Thickeners (10 ft.), one Oliver filter and 2-0 cell banks of Fagragren Rotation cells. Installa tlon of the Blake type primary jaw crusher, and the 4 fl. Symmons secondary cone crusher is being rushed, and should be completed within the next ten days.

The first ore to be fed to the new Lepanto Mil will come from the old Spanish Dumps. These Arc now being prepared for mining, and it is estimated that they will give a hend of 3% copper. These dumps will furnish about 6 months' supply of ore and while this is being exhausted the mine will be made ready for production.

Mining costs will be exceedingly low, due to open cut methods both on the old Spanish Dumps and in tho ore body self.
