MEN'S SINGLES & DOUBLES

(By "Veritas")

As exclusively forecast in the Telegraph recently, the United Services Recreation Club intends to organise a Colony hardcourt tennis championship, and to-day entry forms have been circu- larised to the clubs, and the con- ditions of the tournament made known.

It is proposed to start the cham- plonship on August 30, entries clos- ing August 5. The events will be men's singles and men's doubles and entrance fees will be three dollars per player for each event.

As intimated in a recent report in these columns, the championship will be played on the U.S.İ.C. courts, and the club hos generously agreed to permit the use of two courts on specially arranged dates for com- petitors to put in practice. The following allotments have been made. Hongkong Cricket
