JUDGE REQUIRES FULL ARGUMENT
Presiding for the first time over a Full Court of Appeal, the Acting Chief Justice, Mr. C. G. Alabaster, surprised Mr. H, C. Macnamara this morning by requiring full argument on a motion asking for leave to ap- peal.-
Counsel said he had not come pre- pared to argue the cune fully, but only to indicate a serious legal polni for argument on which he had hoped that the Court would grant
the motion.
The Court offered Counsel an nd- journment to look up the authorities and the ease was put over until to morrow at 11.30 9.mm.

Mr. Machamara was instructed by Mr. S. N. Quinn, defendants not being represented. He said the claim was against the first defendants, but that It had been agreed in the lower Court that second defendants would assume responsibility as transfereys if the cuse were_proved,

Mr. Macnamara said he thought he might be wrong, but he had under- stood that it was necessary only to indicate briefly n legal point for argument and leave to appeal would be granted.

FLATULENCE
Although Flatulence is such an un- pleasant and painful form of Indigestion, It is one that can be made to yield to suitable treatment in quite a short time. Usually the distension (fullness) of the stomach is produced by gas or " wind." This, in turn, is the direct result of an excess of acidity in the stomach. You will realise, therefore, how essential it becomes to avoid the formation of excessive acidity. Alkali is the normal neutraliser of acid; that is why alkaline treatment is usually prescribed to deal with acidity.
Maclean Brand Stomach Powder is tho safest and most effectivo alkalino powder. As soon as it reaches the stomach, excess acility is neutralised immediately. You feel the soothing effect inside you at once. The blown-out sensation of Batulence passes away, and comfort in the waistline is restored as if by magic.
Sufferers from flatulenco should take Maclean Brand Stomach Powder regularly -not only because of the instant relief it brings, but for a much more important reason. A neglected acid conditioù pares the way for the most serious forms of stomach trouble--the dreaded gastric and dundenal ulcer. The flatulent subject must avoid that danger at any cost. MACLEAN BRAND Stomach Powder keep the stomach clean and acid-free, no that ulcers never get a footing. Take it regularly, but be sure you get the genuino Maclean Emand with the signatura ALEX. C. MACLEAN " on bottle and carton. Never sold loose-only in bottler in cartons (powder or tablets). If you have any difficulty in obtaining it from your local chemist or store, write ta Banker & Co., P.O. Box 538, Hong Kong
