I was a child," said a young mother to me the other day, "I wonder I ever had the heart to romp. Those starched frills she shook her head sadly.

Her own children wouldn't know a frill if they saw one. Their summer clothes are designed so simply that the most frantic of romps could do them no harm. For they, like most of their contemporaries, follow the fashions set by the Queen for her little Princesses.
