Eastern Win Again In Manila

BEAT LA SALLE

TWO-NIL

Eastern Athletic, the Hongkong football team now playing a pro- gramme of matches in Manila, gave their best display of the tour to date last week when they defeated Lu Selle, powerful Mantia side by two clear goals.

says that

The Manila Bulletin spectators saw an enlightened display of football by the Hongkong players, the standard of play being of the highest.

The first half was keenly contested and finished with a blank score sheet. La Salle attacked vigorously after the interval and only the stubborn work of the Athletic defence kept them from scoring. Later the visitors look up the running, and when awarded a penalty, opened the scor- ing through Cheng Shui-hong, the former, Colony Interport winger. Later Tau Ching-to made things safe for Eastern by obtaining another goal.
