La Rochelle, May 7. The liner Habana, with Spanish

refugees, mostly children, has arrived at Perthud d'Anthioche, near La Police, where she is due to disembark 800 souls.

From Bilbao it is learned that 2,300 children took a last look at their tragle homeland when they salled aboard the Habana and the trawler Golzeko Izarra, under the protective guris of forts and war-

ships.

The battleship H.M.S. Royal Oak and two British · destroyers met the steamers at the three-mile limit where the refugee ships hoisted the British Ang. The warships convoyed them towards the coast of France.

On the decks at Port San Turca mothers and fathers waited all night to bid their children good-bye. Red Cross nurses and swarthy carrn- bineers supervised the evacuation.-- United Press.
