During the last two or three years many of the players who have made history in Test cricket have dropped out of the limelight, Hobbs, Hendren, Jardine, Sutcliffe, Tate, and Woolley of England; Woodfull, Ponsford, and Grimmett, of Australia; and Bell, Nupen, and Vincent, of South Afrien, ail appear to have ended their carcers us Test cricketers.

The Indian Recreation Club ground International Charity Cup Final Was gaily decorated and thronged England with

its people yesterday dr sixth annual atheictic meeting. Un- like other athletle meetings the IR.C., while retaining a

a few championship events, composed their programme matnly of novelty events.

It was one of these novelty events that caused the events to fall behind the scheduled times. The Mathema- fical Races were not completed at the first try--the problems were too dif- Bicult! Great amusement was caus- ed during the Obstacle Race in which the last was first. A. K. Minu though reaching the tape last, was awarded the race because he was the only on

underneath tarpaulin to wriggle which was broken during the struggle, the earlier ones to finish were all disqualified.
