Combined Hongkong Team Beaten In Canton

A charity football match in ald of the Canton Chinese Police ́Hospital was played on Sunday afternoon at the East Parade Ground at Canton between the. Canton Chinese Police und a combined team from the Hong- kong Football Club and the Kow- loon Football Club. After a hard struggle the Canton players won by four goals to one.

The Chinese team fielded the fol- lowing players, many of them well- known to local followers of the game; Nang Chi-lang: Tam Kang-pakt und Li Tin-sang; Chan Ming-kwel, Lau Hing-choy and Cheng Hot-chicong; Shek-kum, Lau Sung-ang, Chik

Fung King-cheong, Ip Pak-wa and Young Shiu-ylek.

Two Jockeys were injured. Ove horses were put out of the main race, the Steward's Handicap, on the Kenilworth course, Capetown, yesterday, in a remarkable crash in which they were involved.

Ruhr, leading, stumbled at the first bend, fell. Cameo II., favourite at 7-4, All Clear, Eryngo and Ponell, following close behind, crashed on top of the fallen Ruhr.

Ruhr's Jockey, Heyman, thrown clear when his horeo fell, was kicked in the face by another.
