More than 600 Chinese officials, representatives from public bodies and Aiudent representatives partielpated in the meeting held under the auspices of the Shanghal City Government in com- memoration of the 12th anniversary of the death of Dr. Sun Yat-sen, the Founder at the Republic of China, After speech-making in the auditorium of the Shanghal City Government the Tree- Planting Bong was sung and many trees were planied by those attending the meeting in keeping with the "Principle of Livelihood" advocated by the late leader.

The party of 82 Rotarians in' a goodwill tour of the Orient from Australia arrived In Shanghal from Hongkong aboard the s.8. Scharnhorst and were warmly welcomed by a delegation from the Shanghai Rotary Club. Our pleture shows, second from left, Mr. '.
