Indians Not Likely To Do Better Than A Draw

TWO matches being played this afternoon are likely to decide the Senior championship of the Cricket League. Yet it may be found, after they are all over, that a play- off is necessary to settle in just which clubhouse the hand- some shield will repose for the next twelve months. This can be brought about by the Indian Recreation Club drawing with Kowloon Cricket Club and the H.K.C.C. beating Craigengower.

I believe this to be more than likely. Both LR.C. and the.Club must go out for wins. If the Indians, succeed in their quest, the championship is. theirs. If they lose, and the Club win, the shield goes to the H.K.C.C. If the Indians draw and the Club win a play-off will be necessary, and if both are held to a draw, the Suokunpoo team gets away with the title.

It is a tting climax to the league season, though most followers of the game will hope that a play-off is re- quired. It would provide the match of the year.
