IMPRESSIONS OF THE MATCH SECOND half superiority decided the Interport hockey match between Hongkong and Macao last Sunday, and Partab's goal, scored three minutes from eft the end, was a fitting climax Jane Weller, YMCA, to a splendid game.

It was, indeed, a great treat to understanding note the fine which existed among the Hong- kong forwards, particularly in the closing stages when they had Macao defending with an air of desperation.

This cohesion was not confined to the attack itself. The hati backs co- operated in Brst-class

AN INTERPORT SHIELD

IS GOOD IDEA

(By "The Pilgrim")

THOUGHT Inspector Tyler's suggestion made at the In- terport hockey dinner in Macao last Sunday, that' an Interport shield should be put up, known as the O'Costa Shield, was a very good one.

IT is not necessary for me to recount in detail the tremendous amount of invaluable work accomplished by Lieut. O'Costa on behalf of hockey in Macao, and the oxcellent effect of his labours so far as Hongkong is concerned. This Inspec- tor Tyler's idea appears to be one good.way of showing some appreciation of Lieut. O'Costa's efforts.

IT is not a simple question, unfortunately. The English Hockey Association, to which the H.K.H.A. is affiliated, frowns on the idea of trophies for competition. But I think it is worth while making an appeal to the parent body in this case to grant dispensation from the rule. Anyway the matter is being brought before the Hongkong Hockey. Association, which, hope, will sou fit to make efforts to this endi
