Shanghai, Mar, 9. The Shanghai Football Association! Executive yesterday considered the reports on the abandonment of the match at the Stadium between the Loyal Regiment and the Tung Hwe, It was held that the responsibility for the control of the arrangements as the Stadium rested on the China National Amateur Athletle Federn- tion.

The Shanghai Football Association decided that the match should be re- played at the Canidrome at an early date, and that`until furtlier order tho bounds for football matches played under S.F.A, auspices.

It was disclosed that only six con- stables of the City Government Police were on duty at the Stadium Saturday and they could not handle Uhe disorder which arose. Apparent- ly at half-time permission is given for the entry of spectators free of charge. This arrangement results in the congregation of large numberg mony of whom have little knowledge of the game. Their entry and presence is considered to be mainly responsible for the disorder

which occurred.

It was felt that both tearns-The Loyals and the Tung Hwa-played clean and sporting football and ad- mirably conducted themselves in try Ing clrcumstances when the crowd Invaded the playing ground. They also showed the right spirit in at once arranging to protect the referee from the crowd'ʼn nitack.

The fact is the defence wos grand, nummuch that it remained sure- footed, kicked intelligently, covered speedily and seldom looked in dif- ficulties. Wolverson was a life- saver to a dispirited gathering of on-

The half backs were not so con- apleuous, though I lked their con- structive phases and thought they promised something even better if given normal conditions. But, quite rightly think, matters were not allowed to rest there. In an appropriate speech before hand- Ing the winners, their prizes, Mr. N.

M. Rakusen paid tribute to the indefatigable labours of Mr. Hamson as Secretary of the Hongkong Di- Hards Association, in making possible the smooth running of the champion- ships, and he paid a graceful eulogy to the clubs which had assisted in loaning tables for the matches. One also feels constrained to add n word of tribute to the Association as a whole for giving Hongkong the opportunity of enjoying a properly, and in fact thoroughly-well organis ed championship. The Association has not been in existence any great
