hand, the other on amounted to £0,045,000 less than in 1933. This was due to an in- crease of employment and a decrease of unemployment. The Advisory Committee reported surplus of £17- 537,470, so that the accumulated balance at the end of the year was nearly £30,000,000, or £8,700,000 more than the Committee had estimated in their previous report.

There was no opposition to the motion, but some Labour criticisi that the concession should, in view of the state of the fund, be more generous. British Wireless.
