Municipal medals for bravery and long service were awarded by the French Consul-General, M. Bauder, at a review of the French Fallce held in the plaza before the New Post Mallet, French Concession, Shanghai. The parade is not an annual affair, but was held particularly to celebrate the opening of the new station. Handreds of gallons of water were wasted when a Taxicab swerved to avoid a postman and up- rooted a fire hydrant at the corner of Avenue Edward VII and Klangsi Road in Shanghai. At top is shown the rushes well under way to the delight of a huge crowd which gathered.
