New York, Feb. 26. A petition that Mr. Edward Reilly, noted criminal lawyer, he declared in sane was granted in the New York Supreme Court to-day,

Brought on remand before Mr, K. Keen at the Central Magistracy this morning a coolie of the Government over in Civil Hospital was bound $100 for a year on a charge of having two suits of Government khaki stolen uniform, valued at $10.

Sergeant Sullivan said that owing to there having been many larcentes at the Government Civil Hospital the coolies employed there

were searched on February 23. Defendant could not account for his missing uniforms but after further enquiries It was revealed that he had sold them for $1.70. One of the sults had been dyed hinck.
