U.S. FLEET PLANNING WAR GAME

200 VESSELS WILL JOIN MANOEUVRES,

It is officially announced that the entire United States fleet of appro- ximaty "200" combat vessels will leave for annunt manoeuvres in the North Pacifle, covering a triangle of approximately 2,000,000 square miles, commencing April 10. The apex of the manoruvre triangle is the Aleu- tian Islands, and the west corner is Midway Island.

The warships will leave from San Diego and San Pedro, sweeping in a great fan-shoped formation, as far as the 160th meridian. But, they will not cross it. Thus they will respect the unwritten agreement with Japan that this line shall tacitly be regarded as the boundary to all war games.
