WORKERS DEFYING

INJUNCTIONS FIERCE FIGHT WITH POLICE

Waukegan (ill.), Feb. 19. -The success of the General Motors Corporation's slay-in, strikers in defying the injune- tion brought against them has brought a wave of sit-down strikes throughout the country,

Warships of the China Squadron will commence to steam back te Hongkong at the end of the month, Most of these vessels took part in the recent grund manoeuvres in Malayan waters, and will participate in similar manoeuvres off Hongkong.

A large number of the ships are returning to Hongkong by roundabout- routes.

The cruiser Cumberland, fingship of Vice-Admiral Sir Charles Little, is now visiting Belawan and Penang. She will leave Singapore on March 10 for Hongkong, and will lend the "attack" on this Colony.

The Falmouth accompanied the Bagship to Belawan and Penang, but will leave for Hongkong a day earlier, Units of the 8th Destroyer Flotilla and the 4th Submarine Flotilin return to Singapore this morning. The des- troyera Duncan, Delight, Diamond, Duchess, Decoy, Daring and Defender will remain in Singapore only a few hours, leaving this afternoon for Hongkong, via Manila,

The submarine depot ship Medway, 11.M.S. Westcott and the submarinco Olympus, Oswald, Parthian, Proteus, Phoenix, Osiris, Perseus, Regent, Rainbow, Regulus and Pandora leave Singapore on March 2, and are due to arrive in Hongkong on March 8.
