INTERPORT RESERVES TO BE GIVEN A CHANCE

Another football attraction has been added to the Chinese New Year festival in Hongkong. Last evening the II.K.F.A. Council agreed, to a suggestion that a, representative F.A. leam should play the Eastern Chinese XI which is coming down here from Shanghai, in an exhibition match on Wednesday, February, 17,

This arose from a request by the Chinese Amateur Athletic Federation to Captain Kimm that a United Ser- vices cleven be felded that day against the visiting Chinese.

Captain Kinm suggested that 11 might be more attractive it a repre- sentative Colony team, not necessarily Including incmbers of the Interport team, were to take over the fixture.

This would give those players who had been picked us reserves for the Interport, an oppertunity of playing inn representative match..

Major Manners said it was an ex- cellent idea, and the Council unani- inously agreed with the proposition, delegating the task of selecting a team to the Interport Selection Com- mitice, with Captain Kimm co-opted,

Two more donations have been received by the Shanghat Ladies Hockey Association for their Interport fand They were 526 from the Municipal Gaol, and $1 from Clare. This brings the total up to $307. The Association are alming 'at raising $1,000, which will cover travelling ex- penses, but it is understood that Interport tour is now fully cer- tain to take place even if this total is not realized.
