INTERPORT RESERVES TO BE GIVEN A CHANCE

(By "Verlina")

Another football attraction has been added to His Chinese New Year festival in Hongkong. Last evening the H.K.F.A. Couneli hgreed Lo 2 suggestion that a representative F.A. team should play the Eastern Chinese XI which is coming down here from Shanghai, in an exhibition match on Wednesday, February, 17.

This arose from a request by the i Chinese Amateur Athletic Federation to Captain Kimm that a United Ser- vices cleven be fielded that day against the visiting Chinese.

Captain Kimm auggested might be more attractive if u repro- sentative Colony team, not necessarily including members of the Interpart teum, were to take over the Axture.

This would give those players who had been picked us rezerves for the Interport, un opportunity of playing in a representative match.

Major Manners sold it was an ex- cellent idea, and the Council unani- mously agreed with the proposition, delegating the task of selecting a team to the Interport Selection Com- mittee, with Captain Kimm co-opted.

Two more donations have been received by the Shanghai Ladies Hockey Association for their Interport fund. They were $20 from the Municipal. Gaol, and $1 from Clare. This brings the Lotal up to $307, The Association are aiming at raising $1,000, which will cover travelling ex- penses, but it is understood that Interpori tour is now fairly cer- lain to take place even if this total is not realized.

TIME LIMIT TO THE GAMES

The English Table Tennis Ame- ciation have decided upon a revolu

Many thousands of the spectators were stranded without any conveyance, and the others who left to catch the last trains did not see the finish.
