An interesting Car Clark Cup hockey match will be seen on the Club ground, King's Park, this after noon when St. Andrew's meet the Central British Association in their return fixture.

In the Arst engagement the Saints won comfortably by four clear goals, but they face stronger opposition to day, the C.B.A. having Improved as a result of the inclusion of MEAN Walker at full back.

nils-

Mrs. Burton who had the fortune to sprain her ankle last week, will be playing in goal, while Miss F. Best will figure in the attack.

The Saints are hoping to repeat a previous performance, but I can't help feeling Central British will re- verse the result.

Special significance is attached to this afternoon's league foot- ball programme. The Seaforth Highlanders, Colony's latest addi- tion to the military forces stationed here, make their debut, and will carry on where the East Lancashires left off. Quite frankly I am completely in the dark as to the strength of the Highlanders' teams, but judging by their achievements in Palestine, they will quite well hold their own in the exalted company of South China, Ulster Rifles and Fusiliers.

reterees during the last week or make the authorities pucker their brows and wonder whether it is leading up to some

mass malefactions of the 1934-5 sen- son. Following the New Year's Day affair which resulted in a player being dismissed from the field, two league players received marching orders last week and two others were warned by referces. Indications were that the plea made by Sir Thomas Southorn at the beginning of last season, and the stern mea- sures adopted by the Association In dealing with misbehaviour on the field, had proved the neces- sary deterrent to bad conduct. Last season was notably free from suspensions. But there has been quite an amount of trouble this season, and it looks as though the F.A. will have to persist in the malled fist treat- meal if players are not to get completely out of control. Happily there is no call for alarm at the present, and one sincerely hopes that all players will make up their minds to eschew be- haviour which is liable to bring them into disrepute.
