A Japanese Woman, Katoyama Tomi, was charged before Mr. J. A. Fraser at the Central Magistracy this morning, with failing to register ber- self as an alien at the Registration Office within 72 hours of her arrival in the Colony.

Crown-Sergeant J. H. E. Edwards arrived on the Taisuta Maru on December 23, but her presence in the Colony was not discovered until January 13, due to the fallure of the shipping company (the Nippon Yusen Kaisha) to send a list of names of passengers on the liner to the police. The Company
