TOY SHIPS IN A TOY HARBOUR-HONGKONG FROM THE AIR

Another fine 'RA.F. photograph of Hongkong from the air, showing the Kowloon wharves at a busy period, ships of all nationalities are tied up at the wharves, while tiny tøy-like junks and launches scurry to and fro across the harbour. In the background is Kowloon, an orderly garden elty that comes down to the sea from the foot of its background of mountains.

THE WORLD

"That the New York World's Fair of 1930 plans to handle enormous crowds at entrances and exils, combluing beauty with utility, is Indicated by an arilst's drawing above. The drawing as reproduced above calls for a magnificent double-decked entryway with under- passes, over-passes, pedestrian walks, bus terminals, confort stations and bridge connections assuring the utmost comfort white at the same time providing an area of architectural beauty. The artist has pictured, a rump leading from the exposition grounds toward the LRT. B.MT. subway terminal, being arranged to accommodate up to 10,000 visitors an hour, at a point where it is necessary to cross over the Long Island Railroad tracks and to avoid undue congestion of pedestrian- traffic. Shown in the left foreground is a domed restaur- ant within a fountain basin and an expanded promenade bordered by grown trees, and, nearer, an open-air rafe and information klosk. Along the flanking walls has been delineated the Fair's world concept looking to the removal of barriers between men and between peoples,
