In the Colony of Hongkong, includ- ing the Island, Kowloon and the New Territories during the week ending at 8 am, on Saturday, January 9, there were allogther 48 treffe ne- cidents, as the result of which one person was killed and 15 persons were injured.

The person killed, a Chinese female mendicant, aged about 70 years, died from injuries received when she was knocked down by a private motor car.

FOR DEPOSIT
A clolm for the return of money deposited with a Chinese bank was brought before the Chief Justice, Sir}
Athull MacGregor, at dhe Supreme Court tals morning.
Mains were Li Lam-shi and Li Sam, and they claimed from the Soy Kut Bank and Kwok Yick-suen, a partner thereof, the return of $1,500, and $39.37 balance of interest there-
on
Mr. Len D'Almada, jne., instructed. by Mr. C. Y. Rowan, appeared for plaintifs. Defendants were absent, and were not legally represented.
Mr. D'Almada said the claim was for the return of money deposited with the bank some time in 1934. Second defendant was sued personal- ly because there had been dis- solution of the bank, and therefore under the writ his clients sought to take only him Hable.
