London, Dec. 20:

The Ministry of Labour estimates that at December 14 the number of insured persons in employment in Great Britain, exclusive of agricul- tural workers, was approximate- 11,132,000, er 12,000 more than the month before and 303,000 more than the year

before. Statletics which would enable sailsfactory estimates to be made of the numbers of agricultural workers in employment will not be made available till after next July.

At the same date, the numbers of registered unemployed were 1,828,719, comprising 1.305,035 wholly un- employed," 194,841 temporarily laid off and 68,843 normally in employment. The total was 5,117 more than at November 23, but
