STEP TOWARDS GETTING MONEY
Struck off the Register of Com- panies in 1924, the Pacile Banking and Exchange Co., Ltd., successfully brought an application to restore its name before the Chief Justice, Sr Atholl MacGregor, in the Supreme
Court this morning.
Appearing for the petitioners, Mr. Leo" "D'Aimado, Jnr., who was in- structed by Mr. R. A. Wadesom, of Messrs. Deacons, said the application was to restore the Company's name In the register, it having been struck off for certain reasons in 1924. Al- though the application was 4:1 unusual one, there was no doubt in the circumstances that it was just and equitable that the order should be made. Furthermore, the petition
in the affidavit made it perfectly clear that the circumstances of the ense would warrant the granting of the application.
The petition showed that there was a certain sum of money to the credit of the Company in a certain bank,
and the directors were anxious to get hold of it. But before they could do so they had to restore the name of the Company in the register. The Crown Solicitor and the Registrar had been served in this malter, but they had intimated they would not oppose the petition on the undertaking that the cost for advertisements, etc. be paid.
His Lordship granted the applica tion in the terms of the petition.
