MEETING

One of the most pleasing fentures noted at the annual general meeting held this morning for members of the Helena Muy Institute, was the report made by Mr. A. Murdoch, President, that a profit is shown this year in the Working Account of the balance sheet.

This pront of $1,430.50 as against a loss last year of $2,733.95 is duo partly to the Increused number of who have visited the travellers Institute and to the House Committee who, with constant care and atten- llon, have reduced expenditure in many ways without at the same ume

reducing comfort and emelency. The meeting opened with the reading

an increase in membership and then there is a probability that the Finance Committee will feel generous. Wil you all please make a real effort to enrol new members?

...} "Miss Taylor who had been our Matron for several years sent in her resignation in the early spring. Her successor, Mrs. Lewis, has thrown herself whole-heartedly into the work of the Helena May and hos done all she can to make a home for the boarders and travellers.

SECRETS OF SUCCESS

The success of evening dress depends on

correctness that is up-to-the-minute-and correct-

ness depends on detail.

That is the secret of Mackintosh's dress

clothes. In white waistcoats for instance, you

have a choice of various lengths in each fitting.

Evening shirts with two sleeve lengths. (linen or

marcella fronts). Six styles of dress collars in

quarter sizes-four to every inch. Dress ties for

every size as well as every style of collar.

The result is dress clothes that fit perfectly,

look exactly right and feel superbly comfortable.
