PROFESSOR ORE AND In Manila

MISS BARRETO

Macno, Nov. 10. Music-lovers in Macao were splendidly entertained with classical pianoforte selections at a recital given by Professor Harry Ore and Misa Marina Barreto at the Saloon of the Macao Club on Sunday evening.

In the first part of the concert, Professor Ore displayed complete mastery of his art in the skilful rendi- tion of Intermezzo (Brahms) and "Second Rhapsody Latvia" of his own

composition. Mles Barrcio combi

In the second part of the pro-

duettists presented Romance, Op. 51 (Grieg) and Suite. Op. 15-Romance, Vulse and Polonaise (Arensky) which were much appre- clated.

In two excellent planoforte solos, Prelude (Debussy) and Concerto Study "A Sigh" (Liszt), Miss Marine Barreto was warmly applauded. In

the delicacy of touch and the grace- fulness of expression Miss Barreto expressed a musical talent of no mean order. It is learned that the Accomplished exponent completed her musical education in Paris after three years under the able tuition of Madame Marvuerite Long.

It is not often that residents of Mocno are delighted by two versatile artistes the one complementing the aliser, and that Macno is devoted to good music was amply demonstrated In the packed use to hear pinistr with
