Shown above are various officlafs and military men who took prominent part in the ceremony at Lunghwa Aerodrome recently at the dedication of len fighting planes to be called the "Chiang Kai- shek Squadron" In honour of the leader's 60th birthday. Our picture shows, among others, Mayor Wu Te-chen and Madame Wu, General Yang flu, Messrs. Wang Shao-lal. Tu Yuch-sen, Yu Ya-ching, General Hwang Ping-bu. At centre, in while uniform, is shown Miss Lee Ya-ching, altractive Shang- hal girl, who thrilled the crowd before the commencement of the programme, with stunts in her small biplane. A her left is Mr. Jabin Hsu.

The Inspection Parade was enrried out be- fore Brigadier T. D. Telfer- Smollett, who complimented the troops on their smartness, and favourably compared the displays with those given at home. Right, scouts in ac- tion during the First Aid race, which was captured by the 1st Troop (Land).
