THE football association, meeting in London last month, discussed several matters of football importance. A report on the recent trip to Berlin for the Olympic Games was under review, and several suggestions were made for the improvement of future teams. The F.A. also adopted a on or before November 8. memorandum to be issued to referees for their further instruction in con- trolling matches. Much of the advice is mere reiteration of the official hand-book, but one or two of the points raised are useful. It was decided by the International Selection Committee to give effect, as far as is practic- able, to the suggestion that one section of its members deal specifically with

the selection of amateur international teams.
