Attorney General U. S. Webb has ruled that the clippers are taxable in California if they are habitually al the Alameda airport..
The company had demanded, ex- emption from taxation in the grounds that the transoceanic clippers were vessels and thus exempt from taxa- tlon under a section of the state con- stitution.
