A WOMAN known only as "Mrs. X" jumped into the joint leadership in the Stork Marathon, the Toronto maternity race for £125,000 to-day.

She was married at 15, a mother at 16. Now she is 24. She has had 10 children in nine years-including twins twice. "Mrs. X."--she wants her name. kept secret-knows she

is in the running for fame and at least a share of the prize left in 1926 by Charles Vance Millar for the mother who should bear the most children in the ten years following his death.

But she has pleaded that no one shall divulge her name. She is tall, pale copper-haired. She the youngest of the competitors, the most intelligent of them.
